Re: IpSentry Alert on Journal Indexes Server (testtube.uwaterloo.ca)

Assuming no one else was messing with Testtube just now, I was able to
locate and correct the problem without touching Testtube or the
ColdFusion Processes.

I fixed it by restarting the license management application on the
CD-ROM terminal services server. This has happened in the past. The
license manager and the ColdFusion ODBC connections on Testtube talk to
the same database. When the license manager gets locked up this seems
to lock up the ColdFusion ODBC connections too. Restarting the service
for the license manager gets everything moving again.

Fortunately, I didn't need to touch Testtube, since I could not get a
desktop connection to Testtube. I usually go indirectly via my own
desktop, but I'm locked out of that at this time of night and I can't
remote to Testtube directly at all. I could get into Cdtrmsrv directly
(and if need be probably could have gotten to Testtube from there, but
don't quote me on that).
